“Provide complete financial services in a professional, friendly, convenient, and competitive manner to our members.”
In 1955, eight members of the Kings County Employees Association each deposited $5.00 to become the charter members of the Kings County Employees Federal Credit Union. Today, we continue the commitment of serving the financial needs of our members. With the addition of other employers, the name was changed to Kings Federal Credit Union.
Today, we serve members from all over Kings County. The Board of Directors is dedicated to providing a full range of financial services at competitive prices to our membership.
Anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in, and businesses and other legal entities located in Kings County, California may open an account. Additionally, anyone who joins the Children’s Storybook Garden and Museum’s “Friends of the Garden” is also eligible for membership. The Friends of the Garden supports the completion and maintenance of Hanford’s newest downtown improvement project. The membership fee for the Friends of the Garden is $50.
Once you become a member, your spouse, children, parents, sisters/brothers, grandparents, grandchildren and in-laws can also join. If you are not already a member, all it takes to join KFCU is a $1.00 deposit into a membership share (savings) account. Your membership entitles you to a full range of cost-saving products and services.
Membership is the Difference
Your credit union is more than just another financial institution. It is a not-for-profit financial cooperative, and is owned and operated by you, its members. And that makes a big difference in the services you receive. As a member, you enjoy the benefits of lower loan rates and higher interest rates on your savings investments.
Because each member’s needs are different, we continually strive to provide new and improved products and programs to help ensure the financial well-being of our members and their families.
Kings Federal Credit Union’s tradition of service, strength and member loyalty is true to credit union philosophy. “People helping people” is the cornerstone of the credit union movement and credit unions are living proof that members really do make a difference!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT
To help the United States government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activites, Federal Law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What this means for you: When you open an account and/or loan, we will require your legal name, social security number, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We will ask to see your drivers license or other identifying documents. Any joint member(s) on your account and/or loan(s) must also meet these requirements.
Rates and Policies are subject to change without notice.
